OMG...Not MORE Brownie recipes

The Culinary Creative Juices are flowing a bit in The Shadowlands.

Tomorrow is the last day of Becky, the summer intern. I like Becky and want to bring in brownies for her last day. These are to be a new variety as I discovered one of her favorite things are those Chocolate Oranges made by Tobleron.

So I am going to use the orange extract I purchased awhile ago, instead of my regular vanilla. If I had an orange I would probably add the zest of it to the batter. I also wonder how candied orange peal would work if baked into the top (like a garnish) or would that burn?? I see a few test batches to find out in the future :)

Anyway, after work.....its Brownie Baking Time. Test Batch # uh...whatever I'm up to at this point. Call it Orange Infused Brownies Test Batch #1

*Does excited Baking Bear Dance in anticipation*

Side Note to the [info]beefybear: Of Course I will be saving some for you.

Have you thought of a cream cheese frosting infused with orange juice? My grandma made these awesome cinnamon buns and topped them off with this orange cream cheese frosting... :-)

Your brownies rock! I know your the King of Baking! *bowing* I just thought it might solve the problem of trying to get more orange flavor without worrying about burning orange peel... :-) The sugar cookies sound great, too!

I was just rambling creatively.........I tend to do that when working out a new recipe.

An while I agree it is a way to get more flavor to the party......its a method I would hesitate to use because it could get quite messy.
